Monasterio de Piedra, Spain - 2016 | Photojournal - Part 1

Hello, everyone!

Back in April, my family and I went on a 3-week trip to Spain. Our first stop was the city of Zaragoza and, a couple of hours away from it, was located the “Monasterio de Piedra” (Stone Monastery).

In this first part, I'll be sharing with you the pictures from the Natural Park located near the Monastery.

Los Valdillos.

At the beginning of the tour, we got to hold an owl and take a picture with him! The first part of the hike was fairly easy, but it got harder as you kept going forward: more ups and downs, and muddy trails.

The main attractions of this Natural Park are its gorgeous waterfalls and lakes.

Cascada Trinidad.

Cascada La Caprichosa.
The Whimsical Waterfall.

The Mirror Lake was probably my favorite stop. I just loved how it perfectly reflected everything around it. I think we stared at the lake for at least 10 minutes, while we took hundreds of pictures, before continuing down the path.

My brother did this weird edit to a picture of the Mirror Lake where he turned the image upside down and then he mirrored it, and it just blows your mind.

Lago del Espejo.

And this is where the tour ended. After it, we headed down to an open field with some benches to watch the flight of trained birds of prey. Some of these birds flew so close to our heads! It was amazing!

Here's Part 2 of our visit to the Monasterio de Piedra!

Lots of Love,

Salha
